Angel McCoughtry scored 29 points and keyed a huge half for the Las Vegas Aces as they staved off elimination in an 84-75 win over the Connecticut Sun in Game 4 of the WNBA semifinals on Sunday afternoon in Bradenton, Fla.

That sets up a decisive Game 5 on Tuesday night. The winner meets either the Seattle Storm or Minnesota Lynx in the finals.

McCoughtry poured in 16 third-quarter points as the top-seeded Aces turned a one-point halftime deficit into a 15-point lead. Her three-point play at the 6:53 mark of the fourth quarter steadied the margin at 72-58.

Later in the fourth, Danielle Robinson provided six points in a three-minute stretch.

McCoughtry shot 13-for-22 from the field. The forward also supplied six assists and five rebounds.

A'ja Wilson and Robinson scored 18 points apiece and Kayla McBride chipped in with 11 points for the Aces, who won despite shooting 1-for-9 on 3-point attempts. Wilson had 13 rebounds.

Jasmine Thomas tallied 25 points, benefitting from six 3-point baskets, and Alyssa Thomas racked up 15 points for the Sun. DeWanna Bonner's 10 points and 15 rebounds also boosted Connecticut, while Brionna Jones had 10 points.

Bonner, who has been a standout throughout the season, didn't score in the second half.

The seventh-seeded Sun, who had only five turnovers in Game 3, committed five in the opening quarter Sunday. They ended up with 12 giveaways.

Still, Connecticut led for much of the closely contested first half. The Sun, who are aiming to reach the championship series for the second year in a row, took a 31-24 second-quarter lead only to have the Aces notch the next seven points.

Las Vegas played minus the WNBA's top reserve as forward Dearica Hamby sat out with a knee injury. The Aces managed only four points from their reserves Sunday.

Las Vegas made 15 of 17 free throws.
