FRISCO, TexasAfter agreeing to terms with two offensive players in Javonte Williams and Robert Jones, the Cowboys have done the same with their first defensive player of the 2025 free agency cycle, agreeing to terms on a two-year deal with former New York Jets defensive tackle Solomon Thomas.
Thomas, 29, has spent the last three seasons with the Jets and now reunites with his defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton, who was hired on Brian Schottenheimer's staff in January.
Last season, Thomas was utilized in a rotational role but played in 16 games for the Jets, tallying 26 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and three and a half sacks.
Thomas is a Chicago native, but attended Coppell High School in Coppell, Texas, about a 20 minute drive from the Star in Frisco. Now, he gets to return to the Dallas area and play for a Cowboys defensive line that is in need of bodies in the room.
